Sapori di Genova : a crunchy , soft focaccia Ligurian style
Last Friday I had the pleasure to visit Genoa with a special guided tour planned by Confartigianato Liguria association, CNA Liguria , IN LIGURIA regional agency touristic promotion & with the best Genoa’s licensed guide, Cristina Gelvi , in occasion of the Genoa Pesto World Championship 2016 .

Walking among the narrow, typical streets of the old Genoa , meeting local top quality producers was a great experience I hope I could share soon again with my clients .
First stop was by a focaccia – white pizza – bakery : SAPORI DI GENOVA – in English Genoa’s tastes – in which you can find a kind with no animal fat ( suitable for vegetarian & musmils) & with lard as the tradition , with pesto sauce, with soft cheese as stracchino from Recco from the nearby area – so thin & so tasty 😋😋 – and of course…. pizza !
We tried the two kind of focaccia & I loved both ( so good with or without fat you can’t tell the difference ) and we had a glass of sparkling white wine called : “bianchetta” as in the best Genoa ‘s sailors tradition : soooo ….salute everybody with Sapori di Genova!!
