Chianti : Vignamaggio , Monnalisa birthplace & “Much ado about nothing”
What a special emotion for me watching at the same landscape chosen by Leonardo da Vinci to paint his masterpiece…and this villa is the Monnalisa birthplace too.
Feeling as being part of the history , feeling proud – one time again – to be born in this wonderful region filled of beauties & goodies & a real source of inspiration for many artists since ever!
It’s not just an historical beautiful villa but also a great wine ( old cellers to visit & smell the scent! ) extra virgin oil & a fantastic dessert wine ( Vinsanto ) producer so that you can have everything you need to stop here, relax enjoy your eyes, heart & soul .
And the Italian garden : so perfect , so green so….stunning!
you can easly imagine long dressed ladies from the Renaissance period with sun umbrellas walking in this paradise on earth.
You can also sleep in the villa or in the farmhouse just close to it & try this special experience of living in the history for a while…
In 1993 it has been chosen as a location for the film “Much ado about nothing ” played by John Miller , “Mad Max “director😉
I had the pleasure to be featured in a book just in the same page of this prestigious location so I wanted a picture of me with ” Ciao Sweetie! How to vacation in a Tuscan farmhouse ” by Suzanne Stavinoha from Texas , in front of the same landscape painted by Leonardo .
Maybe my smile is no so intriguing as Monnalisa’s one but…….. I had drunk the Vignamaggio wine , so mine was much more satisfied than hers 👍😉😂😂👏👏🍷🍷🍷
