Tuscany : Greve in Chianti & the Tuscan navigator Giovanni da Verrazzano
Another time in Greve for me but the first one for my American group : to see the triangular shaped square, this time with no tourists – except us – as at the beginning of March is still low season and just because of this , more lovely as a typical Tuscan hamlet where to stop after a wine tasting.
Love the arcades with all the small shops around the square perimeter , as a tiny Bologna & the Giovanni da Verrazzano’s statue to reminder us that a Tuscan man – born just in Greve in Chianti – was the navigator who discovered the New York’s bay in 1524 .(I have already written another post about the castle licated just few km away from here).
Enjoyed a great cappuccino looking outside the bar & feeling as a foreign myself!😂😂😂
